Sunday I headed out to a place we call "Da Bus Stop" out in Kaneohe, with a few friends. The tide was a bit higher than I wanted but the air was cool & the winds almost non existent. I saw the mullet platforms out in the distant & wanted to focus on capturing the sunrise around the platform. Unfortunately my 10-24mm (15-35mm full frame crop) wasn't long enough to crop in tighter. I was already up to my mid thigh in water & really didn't want to get any wetter than that. So I settled for this wide angel shot, which didn't come out too bad.
I did take 2 shots & composited the 2 images together. The tide was making the boat move so with the long exposure it came out blurred. The 1st exposure was at 30 sec, so I could streak the clouds to show movement & the 2nd exposure was at 13 sec to freeze the boat. I then blended these 2 shots into 1 image. All other edits were finished in Lightroom.
Aloha a hui hou my friends!
