Did a little exploring around Lanikai point & found this this spot where the water was washing over the rocks. As my long exposure images calms the seas waves, it is deceiving as I was constantly getting my filters splashed on as the water hit the rock. I do love creating an image that has mood & a sense of calm & by removing the color I take out some of the reality & helps to create that "mood" I'm looking for. I don't consciously shoot or see in black & white, it just happens.
Some images scream color, I look for the muted pastel colors that the Lee Filter Big Stopper gives me. For some reason I seem to always get this beautiful muted pastel colors at Lanikai but not on this day.
Aloha a hui hou my friends!
