We've been having such bad weather lately with cloudly & overcast skies, I've been itchin' to shoot the Milky Way! This past Saturday woke up at my usual time 4 am, the first thing I did was walk out to the garage to look at the skies to see if there were any stars visible...YES STARS, I see stars!!! I immediately texted my buddy & found out here was already on his way to the location we decided on the day before, in anticipation of shooting the Milky Way. I quickly made my coffee, gotta have my coffee!!! Threw my gear into the car & off I went. Luckily the location was fairly close to my home so it took only 15 minutes to get there, driving like a maniac!
The image is a composite as I moved to a different location & by that time the ambient light got brighter so the MW wasn't as visible as I wanted it to be. Took some finagling in Lightroom & Photoshop to enhance the MW's core & to match the white balance with the foreground & sky.
Aloha a hui hou my friends!
