looks can be deceiving, like this 3 feet narrow dock that hovered above the waters below. The pilings that held up this dock, from the bottom side looked very sketchy & unsafe, but from the top, it looks solid, such as life!
The couple that was the current resident at this home, saw my buddy & I shooting under the dock & invited us up on top to shoot, a very kind gesture! From the top, I loved how the weathered wood planks looked!
I did have to do some dodging on the wooden railings to brighten & bring out the textures, especially the right side of the railing which was backlit from the sunrise to the far right, out of frame. For me, this image is all about the many, many textures within this frame, the wooden rails, planks, water & clouds.
