The beautiful & very talented Rhea Vega preparing for a morning sunrise yoga shoot. Testing out my new Godox 360 II bare bulb flash, 1 light setup with a 48" GoMo Octa Box XL. Took a little bit of time to find my sweet spot but it's an amazing light setup, well worth the $$$! Also on location, helping with the lights my good buddy Tien Enga. He's always reminding me of things that I know but forget when the lighting goes awry!
Decided to shoot this with my Fuji XPro2 & the XF56mm f/1.2 R prime lens, I love this lens! I did bring my Sony A7S II but it stayed in the backpack. Unfortunately the Godox X1T C trigger doesn't have HSS on my Fuji, so I used a B+W XS-Pro ND-Vario 1-5 MRC ND Variable Filter mounted on a stepup ring. I was a bit miffed that the XPro2 would give me the audio beep for locking focus but taking an out of focus image on several pictures. Not sure if it was user error or camera. It wasn't locking focus on something in the background or foreground because the whole image was out of focus. Other than that the XPro2 performed exceptionally well & was very pleased with the image quality from the entire shoot!
This is a composited image, I dropped in the sky from Sunday's shoot just to add a little bit of interest in the upper 1/4 of the sky. I'll do 1 more blog with another image from this shoot on Friday.
This was such a beautiful location, that I returned the next day to shoot sunrise solo style!
Aloha a hui hou my friends!
